About RHS
The Rosendale Historical Society was founded in 2000. Our mission is to discover, preserve and publicize historical information about the Village of Rosendale and the surrounding area.
In 2001,The Rosendale Historical Society was given a building at 105 South Main Street to use for our museum and headquarters. Our museum now houses several collections.
In addition to the museum, the Rosendale Historical Society revived Peony Sunday at the restored Peony Gardens one block north of the Hwy 23 and Hwy 26 intersection. Peony Sunday takes place the first or second weekend in June depending on expected blooming dates. Peony Garden magnets are for sale at Bluemkes Food Mart in Rosendale.
Our next project is the renovation of the Grange Hall located one block west of the intersection.
